Conflict in Organisations


CONFLICT
Conflict is a difference of opinion, struggle against each other to achieve power, resources with multifaceted objective; sometimes natural or some times unnatural.
The happy family view
Conflict is not a systematic issue but is a major cause of:
          misunderstanding
          personality factors
          great expectation
          macro factors
          bad management
          poor leadership & poor communication
          bloody mindedness or aggressive behaviour

The Conflicting view:
           members compete for power
           individuals competing interests

The evolutionary view:
          conflict is positive for change
          Competing interests may balance the individuals’ interests and preserve social and organizational arrangement.
